Ph.D. (Biostatistics) University of California-Los Angeles 1981In 1991, Professor McAuliffe came to the Medical College of Wisconsin to serve as director of statistics for the Cancer Center. He currently holds academic appointments in the Division of Biostatistics and the Department of Medicine. Prior to joining the Medical College of Wisconsin he had held an academic appointment in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Vermont since 1981.
Professor McAuliffe serves as Director of the Analysis and Epidemiology Core of the Medical College of Wisconsin's Center for AIDS Intervention Research. In addition, he maintains a close association with the Cancer Center through the collaboration on a number of Cancer Center's studies. He has served as statistician for multicenter clinical trials. He also is active in research with the Neuroscience Center directed toward brain mapping.
His research interests include space-time clustering, spatial mapping, longitudinal and diffusion models for evaluating intervention programs, the design and analysis of clinical trials, and methodology for the detection of space-time clustering and its application to the evaluation of intervention programs. Dr. McAuliffe has over 30 statistical and applied publications stemming from his own and collaborative research.
