Miscellaneous Computer Notes:

Biostat Division has a new color laser printer "HP Color LaserJet 3700n" to replace our previous color laser printer. The new color printer works for PC and UNIX. To print from UNIX, type lp -dcolor "options" filename. Most standard options are working. To print from PC, you need to install the printer on your PC (remove old color laser printer if you have installed previous color laser printer) through Add Print Wizard:
In “Settings/Printers and Faxes”, choose “Add Printer”, select add a “Network printer”, and choose “Browse for a printer” and click “next”, then wait until the network printers show up.
Double click “IBMTRBIO-SVR”, then select “BS_Colorlaser” printer to add it to your PC. (For those running old version of window system, you may not able to see the new printers in Add Printer Wizard. In such case, you can add new printers by typing in the following printer:
