Admission Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in mathematics or in a closely related field with
    a strong preparation in mathematics (see below)
  • Strong interest in Biostatistics and biomedical applications
  • Overall minimum GPA of B
  • Mathematics GPA of B or better
  • Science GPA of B or better
  • Average of 60th percentile or better on the quantitative, analytical and verbal sections of the GRE.
  • For international students whose first language is not English, a TOEFL score of 580 (237 if computer based) or better
     

Applicants are expected to have completed courses in advanced calculus, matrix/linear algebra and scientific programming with a minimum grade of B in each. Those who have not done so may be considered for admission and, if admitted, must complete these requirements during the first year of study.
